The fight against your CANCER can be a Win / Win

These pages are dedicated to the many patients that have won and some bravely lost their fight against cancer.  If you are new to the fight, you are definitively not alone.  It is still frightening today as it was many decades ago, when cancer was poorly understood and was associated with painful deaths.  Although much is known and the outcomes are increasingly favorable, the fight can be grueling and the course paved with possible painful setbacks.

We present a simple, concise and informative approach to the diagnosis, treatment, screening and prevention of cancer.  We will focus on the surgical aspects of cancer treatment and how best to combine with the other multidisciplinary components. Our expertise is clearly in the surgical aspects of cancer.  There are vast areas of cancer that we will not be discussing.

The information and views provided here are intended to help you understand multifaceted aspects of cancer and encourage frank and meaningful discussions with your doctor and health professionals. When you are informed, you and your healthcare providers will pick the best choices in the cancer fight.

In the final analysis, there is much to know and discover, and urge you to contribute to your favorite centers of cancer research. Much of the advances in cancer treatment have been spearheaded and inspired by veterans of this disease. You are not alone. Hopefully, these pages will keep you more informed and help you in the struggle and inspire others to join the fight and contribute to the efforts of professionals and investigators in many institutions of cancer care and research.

The starting point of this web site is to cover the more common cancers and provide helpful information.  Further information can be obtained by email.  Some of the more common questions will then be included in a FAQ page, frequently asked questions.
